Terms & Conditions

Apple Rugs
Apple Rugs is a division of Fromes Ltd. Our trading address is: Apple Rugs, Fromes Ltd, 4 Upper Gardner Street, Brighton BN1 4AN. Tel: 01273 358021. This is not our returns address. Please always contact us before making any return in order to receive the correct return details.

Payment Terms
Payment is required in full before we will dispatch your order. Payment must be made in British Pounds and all payments must be made online. As from 6th February 2019 our prices do not include VAT as we are no longer VAT registered. We accept all major credit/debit cards or PayPal accounts. Payments are processed by PayPal.

Free Delivery Terms
Delivery for orders to all UK mainland locations, excluding Scottish Highlands, is included in our prices. Please note that our delivery offer does not therefore apply to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands or any offshore island, for which charges apply (see Delivery). For all other locations, or if in doubt, please e-mail or call us for a delivery cost quote before ordering.

Delivery Timescales
Currently most UK deliveries are made within 3-5 working days. If a rug goes out of stock we will contact you and you may cancel or ask for the rug to go on back order. If your rug does not arrive within two weeks of your ordering, or within two weeks of the estimated delivery date we have emailed to you, you must inform us by email so that we can follow this up immediately.

Returns & Cancellations
You can return your rug if you don't like it. We ask that you first inform us by e-mail or post within 7 days of receipt, follow the returns instructions that we send you and return the rug within 14 days of receipt. The rug should be immediately stored safely and be returned in completely unused condition. We will send you a return code and returns address. Write the return code on the outside of the packaging (this identified the item when it arrives), and then return the rug to us at your expense in unused condition and in the original undamaged packaging (or packaging of the same quality) for your refund. We recommend using an insured delivery service. Please note that carriage charges made for remote locations or special deliveries are not refundable. You may also cancel your order prior to it going into dispatch. Custom made rugs and special order items may not be returned and cannot be cancelled once instructed.

Sales to business customers for business purposes may not be returned other than for faulty items. Business customers should call for further information.

Note on returns and special offers including discount codes:
Where you return part of an order, then any discount code entitlement will be recalculated based on the value of the part of the order you keep. If this means you would no longer have qualified for the original discount offer, we will reduce your refund to take this into account. If the new value would still qualify for a discount, but at a lower rate, we will apply that lower rate to the new value.

Goods Damaged In Transit
Our rugs are made to very high standards, and we employ professional national carriers. Nevertheless, you must examine the package on arrival before signing for it. In the unlikely event that it has been damaged, do not sign for it. The courier will automatically return the consignment to us and we will arrange a replacement. You should also inform anyone accepting the delivery on your behalf of this requirement. Damage that occurs after a rug is received by a customer is not covered.

Faulty Goods
If a rug is faulty please contact us at once and within 7 days of receipt at most by email and we will arrange a refund or replacement as agreed. The rug must remain in unused condition. Please note that most of our rugs are hand crafted and that some variation is to be expected and can be part of the charm of handmade items. Due to differences in colour reproduction on different computer screens, and to personal interpretations of colour terms, we cannot accept colours varying from expectations as a fault. Shedding of excess fibre is a natural feature of many rugs, especially wool rugs. This process does not damage the rug and is not a manufacturing fault. Small rising fibres may also be found at first, and these should simply be cut to the level of the pile.

Return carriage to an agreed sum will be reimbursed if the rug is faulty. Any agreed collection will be a weekday and you must ensure that someone is available to meet the courier, as we only pay for one pick-up attempt.

Complaints Procedure
We try to resolve all issues through discussion. However, if you feel you have a complaint that cannot be resolved over the phone, please put it in writing and send it to The Directors at our postal address. We will investigate and respond within 2 working days.
